This is a classic sourdough bread, with 20% whole wheat. Creating it is a 7-hour process from start to finish, so it truly is an artisanal loaf. It derives its complex character from the yeasts in the starter culture. This hand-shaped loaf has a mild, tangy taste and a crisp, golden-brown crust. Slice it up for sandwiches, melt some cheese over a piece and dip in soup, or slather a slice with butter and jam at breakfast.
This is delivered frozen in a vacuum-sealed bag to keep it fresh longer. Thaw in your fridge or at room temperature, and you could refresh it in a hot oven for just a few minutes.
